A significant increase in Medicaid application backlogs has been reported, with the number growing to over 210,000. This growth occurred between January and August, according to state data. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, also experienced a substantial backlog increase during this period, with more than 146,000 added.
