HISD to start new 'Kinder Bridge' grade level for some students
By Sarah Al-Shaikh at ABC13 Houston

HISD said the program will be treated as a separate grade level, which will be between kindergarten and first grade, with a new curriculum for students who are behind in reading.
The recall of nearly 420,000 Ford vehicles due to a seat belt defect has significant implications for drivers in The Woodlands, where many residents rely on large SUVs like the Expedition for family transportation. With the community's location along Interstate 45, a major highway connecting to Houston, the potential for accidents involving these vehicles is heightened. Given the area's history of flooding and hurricane risks, the safety of vehicles is particularly crucial, as drivers may need to evacuate quickly in emergency situations. Residents who own affected Expedition or Lincoln Navigator models should take immediate action to have the defect repaired, and those in the market for a new vehicle should exercise caution when purchasing used models from these years. The Woodlands Township and local law enforcement may also need to consider the potential impact of this recall on road safety within the community.
